Carmen Cagigas
Carmen Cagigas Fernandez MD, PhD obtained her medical degree at Universitiy of Cantabria 2005.
Her general surgery residency program was at Hospital Universitario Marques de Valdecilla, Santander (2011) and she completed her training with a Clinical Fellowship in colorectal Surgery at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK (2012-2013).
Ms Cagigas got her Robotic accreditation in 2011, and she has been taking part in the Colorectal Robotic Program of Hospital Marqués de Valdecilla since 2014.
She is Fellow of the European Board of Coloproctology since 2017. She is also instructor at the simulation center in Hospital Virtual Valdecilla.
She has special interest in colorectal surgery but also in Minimal invasive surgery, especially in robotics.
